Costa Rica is a Spanish speaking country. It’s also a country that is known for its incredible surf conditions and waves. Aside from general perks to being able to speak the local language in a country you’re visiting, it can also enhance your trip in ways you probably haven’t thought about.
The greatest and most unique aspect of our Spanish courses is the fact that we teach beyond a textbook. We insert our students into the community and allow them to practice the language with local speakers. We also weave our lessons into the additional courses and programs that students sign up for. Our goal is to allow you the opportunity to apply the language to everyday situations and real-life experiences.
If you’ve been following us at all you’ll know that surfing is an everyday situation here at School of the World! We’ve gathered some common phrases and questions that will help you talk to the locals about the conditions of the ocean, whether or not it’s safe for you to surf and where to go to catch the best waves.
