This Friday Costa Rica Is Lifting all covid Travel Restrictions!
To say that it has been a long couple of years would be an understatement, but we are so happy to announce that starting April 1, 2022 Costa Rica will lift all COVID restrictions for individuals and establishments! And yes, that includes restaurants, discos, dance halls, nightclubs and all of our favorite places here in our beautiful home Jacó!
Here’s everything you need to know about traveling to and from Costa Rica!
Planning Your Trip: You will no longer need to complete a health pass or purchase travel insurance to enter the country. However, it’s not a bad idea to purchase travel insurance or ensure your health insurance provides coverage in the event you do contract COVID-19 while traveling.
Getting here: There will be no requirements to show your vaccination status or a negative COVID test to enter Costa Rica.
When you arrive: Establishments, activities (like surfing and yoga) and events will be able to operate at 100% capacity without requiring proof of vaccination.Â
When you leave: It’s important to check your destination’s return policy after being in a foreign country. You can learn about your specific Country’s return requirements on its embassy website. Here are a few countries that SOTW receives frequent visitors from: United States, Canada, United Kingdom , Germany, Switzerland
