Our Happy Place
Travelers are so pleased to discover the beauty of the School of the World. Our little piece of Paradise is covered with native jungle plants that are often visited by local birds, butterflies, and iguanas. We’re a short walk from downtown Jaco, one of the best beach towns in Costa Rica, and its amazing beach! Jaco has a true local feel and it is home to a thriving art scene, dozens of tasty restaurants, great night life, and lots of festivals.
All of our shared guest rooms have private bathrooms, air conditioning, ceiling fans, hot water, refrigerators, cotton sheets and comfortable beds. We will pair you with someone of the same gender and age range.
Most of our Private rooms have a tropical treehouse feel. They have one full size and one single bed, 100% cotton sheets, refrigerator, private bathroom, hot water and A/C.
Our deluxe private rooms are great for traveling couples, or just spoiling yourself. These rooms have super comfortable king size beds, cotton sheets, complimentary bath towel service, A/C, refrigerators, private bathrooms, hot water and ceiling fans.
Homestays are also available for those that wish to experience life with a local family. Students have their own room in the family home, with a shared bathroom. Rooms usually have fans, but not A/C. Breakfast and dinner, prepared by the family, are included.

 The School is filled with tons of boutique hotel style design details including tropical hardwoods and bamboo, stained glass, handmade ceramic sinks, mosaic floors, custom furniture, a zen waterfall fountain, and artwork throughout. Located in a quiet neighborhood close to the center of Jaco, our building is one of the most beautiful in all of Costa Rica.

Our resort like campus includes a communal kitchen and dining area, a comfortable lounge, a yoga studio, photo/video editing studio, 2 open-air Spanish classrooms, offices, 13 guestrooms, a small swimming pool, and a relaxing garden. We are located in a quiet neighborhood close to the center of Jaco, and are just a few minutes walk from the beach, dozens of great restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and everything else you could need.
