I’m not what you would call an early riser. Very few things in this world can rouse me out of my bed before I absolutely have to get out. However, I leapt out of bed at the ungodly hour of 6:30 for the chance to practice yoga in the ruins of a half built hotel overlooking Jaco’s serene coastline. Serenity can be achieved anywhere, if you have the right mind-set, but it is almost impossible not to reach that state whilst inhaling the salty ocean breeze as you are perched in Warrior II with your gaze drinking in the beautiful coast line directly below you.

In the quite hours of the early morning, photo students silently captured the focused yogis holding their asana’s, or poses, as they bathed in the soft sunlight.
The results of this combined class field trip were beyond expectation. Yoga students left with a the tranquility of an experience practicing yoga that is unparalleled to any classroom setting while the photography students left with some breathtakingly unique pictures.
